Rosemary Remembrance Balm`

The big yellow school buses are back on the roads, and students are back at their desks. Its time to put thinking caps back on and buckle down with the books! Want to give your kids (or yourself) a little memory boost? Using this formula is a great way to stimulate the brain and help with recall and retention. Personally, I feel like I need this everyday! Which brings me to another reason to make it...rejuvenating brain activity! I'm getting up there a little bit in age and doing all I can to keep my memory strong so I'm going to be using this for sure.
I got this formula from Stephanie L. Tourles' book, "Hands On Healing Remedies", which I purchased from Spark Naturals. (You can see it here....) This wonderful book has 150 recipes for healing topical therapies.

This recipe only contains three ingredients. The most important of which is Rosemary Essential Oil. Rosemary is widely known for its ability to clear the mind, stimulate memories, improve memory retention, and improve overall cognitive abilities.

"There's rosemary, that's for remembrance; pray, love, remember. And there is pansies, that's for thoughts." William Shakespeare, Hamlet

Just 3 ingredients

Melt wax and oil and let cool slightly

Add essential oil
Pour into container and label.
Ingredients:

Instructions:
  • Combine base oil and beeswax in microwavable bowl until melted. (My microwave took about 1 minute)
  • Stir and let cool until it just starts to thicken (about 5-8 minutes)
  • Add Rosemary essential oil and mix well
  • Pour into storage container.

Note: You can also use a small saucepan or double boiler to melt the wax. Mix oil and beeswax and warm over low heat until just melted.

Application:
  • Use up to three times per day. Apply a little dab to each temple, the nape of your neck, the base of your throat, and behind each ear. Breathe deeply.

Storage:
  • Store at room temperature, away from heat and light; use within one year.

Yield:
  • About 1/2 cup
