Stitch Fix #4 Review with Pictures

Getting my Stitch Fix box is so exciting. I love seeing what someone else has hand picked for me. I have to say however that this was my first fix that left me a bit disappointed. I am considering keeping at least one item, would you please help me decide???  ♥♥

Ahhhh, the thrill of the box! Can't wait to open the box!

This is what I got....

Kent Cuffed Capri Jean by Henry & Belle.  6270-315 Light Blue. $178.00 or $133.50 with discount.

I had asked them to please just send petite pants for me and I had asked for pants with a high rise. These were not petite and they have a low rise. Ugggg, as you can see they are too long and thankfully you can't see the tummy roll that is desperately trying to spill over the top of the too low waist. They were also over my $$ comfort zone.

I didn't take individual pictures of the jeans but I have them on with all three tops below.

Verdict: Return

May Chevron Print Knit Back Top by Collective Concepts.  6554-106 Coral.   $54.00 or $40.50 with discount.

I LOVED the color. Although they call it coral its really more orange. I'm really not sure about the fit however but glad that it is a petite size. Sleeveless shirts that are not petite have a tendency to have arm holes that are too large and show all sorts of stuff.

Verdict: Undecided

Montreal Arrow Printed Henley Blouse by 41 Hawthorn. 5989-327 White. $38.00 or $28.50 with discount.

I really liked the pattern but again, its not a petite and the sleeves are too long (even though its a tab sleeve and I can wear the sleeves up). It was also a bit sheer and pulled across the bustline.

Verdict: Return

Alanis Maxi Skirt by Gilli.  6703-706 Pink.  $44.00 or $33.00 with discount

Loved the color but not sure its flattering on me. Its really more of a dark coral than pink, which I like. I was surprised to get this as I had asked them to please not send any skirts or dresses this time. Hum... Anyway, I did try it on but I didn't have a top that looked good with it. Maybe with a white top and jean jacket???? Not sure about this one yet.

Verdict: Undecided

Mars Split Neck Blouse by Collective Concepts. 6326-827 Blue.  $58.00 or $43.50 with discount

Liked this much better than I thought I would. It fit well and I like the colors. It's sheer so I would need to wear a cami but I'm okay with that.

Verdict: Undecided

Here's the note from my stylist.

And the invoice

Okay so I want to keep at least one item, but which one? Either the Alanis Maxi Skirt, Mars Split Neck Blouse, or May Chevron Print Knit Back Top. Leaning towards the skirt, what do you think?

  1. I love the skirt on you. I too just received the capris, which I love, but I'm not paying $178 for them. So sad to have to send them back. enjoy whatever you decide to keep!

    1. Thank you Maryann. I only kept the skirt and returned everything else. There was no way I was paying that much for the cropped jeans! And, what you couldn't see is how badly they fit me around the waist, I just can't do the low rise jeans. Appreciate your comment!
